Envy apples along with Kiku are the new thing in apples now. They also have come up with an apple that tastes like grapes , and a plum that tastes like apricots. They call it a Plumcot. the Envy is sweet at first then a hint of tartness at the back end , where the Kiku is sweeter then the Fuji.

How about, if there is more milk, cut the stupidly high price and then people will buy it. Supply and demand. If there is more supply than there is demand, the price should go down.

Rolls Royce made the engine on the aircraft I worked on when I was in the Marine Corps, let me tell you this: Marines could NOT be trusted with these little robots, it would be about 5 minutes before an arena was constructed and we would have Julius Caesar levels of robot carnage. Civilian use only I would bet.

There is a court case in the USA where the police were using a child actor to catch peds and the guy challenged the charges on the grounds that the child said he wanted to have sex. I don't remember where or when since this was on one of those WTF type things.

The problem with some of the ideas of making fruits and vegetables better using accelerated domestic evolution is that they make smaller more expensive products instead of finding a way to make higher yield and the price of the product to the consumers cheaper and more available to everyone in the world.

Eli Rolls Royce also makes jet engines. They made some of the original jet engines, contemporary to the earliest German designs, and continue to this day. Honda also makes jet engines, but they started rather recently.

DAMNIT WENDELL!!!! Watch the final season 1 episode of Discovery. It makes sense and ends up proper Star Trek. It didn't take place in the mirror universe but they did end up in the mirror universe for a few episodes. The psychopath capitan was from the mirror universe though. But we get hints that the reason Discovery and a few other ships captains/crews didn't make sense, ie live up to Federation ideals. It was because Discovery is the story of Federation Intelligence's Section 31. This is probably the reason the technology on Discovery, ie the spore drive, are never seen in other Star Treks. Because it was developed and ended up a tool of Section 31. There is a Voyager episode that even alludes to Section 31 having ship drive technology to jump through space and time. You're a Treky right?! Didn't you notice that key crew members on Discovery and her sister ships, had Federation Intelligence Section 31 Starfleet Insignias?! Once you notice this easter egg (a few episodes into Season 1), all of a sudden it all makes sense and fits into the proper Star Trek canon. Discovery is the story of the black ops division of Federation Intelligence. The officers who do the dark, dirty, nasty missions required for the Federation to survive as a Utopian society. In Star Trek, the greater universe is still a dark, nasty place. and yet the Federation survives and functions. In every Star Trek. from NextGen, to DS9, to Voyager, and even Enterprise. Section 31 is referenced as the dark secret of how the Federation survives, with all their morals, ethics, and prime directives intact.

@joe forvour i just rewatched the next generation and star trek has been designed to be watched episodically, almost each episode is a stand alone episode, this was very important if u wanted sth. on tv, that people can get into it almost instantly and can also miss episodes and still enjoy it. another more modern example of this is Avatar: The Last Airbender where each episode has it's own story to tell, but u still got the overarching progression, that fans enjoy. modern series like discovery are the total opposite, and are designed to not miss any episode. and if u wanna be fair in comparisons u should compare season 1 of tng to discovery for example, tng has so much character development, because it ran for 176 episodes/7 seasons while discovery so far was only 15 episodes. another comparison would be stargate sg-1 which was very episodic compared to stargate universe, which works similarly to star trek discovery. personally i like both if done well, but discovery is a clusterfuck, that i only watched because i love cgi/scifi. i'm excited for the orville season 2 personally.

SPOILER SPOILER: alright why not, but please try to explain to me, how the female klingon becomes leader of the klingons, by threatening to destroy their home planet? where the fuck is the honor or sanity in this case. it would be honorable to kill her asap and find the explosive device and disarm it at all costs. that klingon arc ending of season 1 was an insult to people's intelligence, my best guess would be, that they somehow wanted her to be the klingon leader half way through writing the story, but even then it's horrible. i mean that's not bad star trek or a bad scifi show, that is just an insult to all people, that sat through the entire season.
Joe Forvour 6 months ago
Part of the issue (in my opinion) is the episodic nature of modern TV. We as trekkies love to sit and binge watch. the character development, the over-ranging arc of each season, or series, the pit-falls and trials. ALOT of that is lost when waiting week to week and only made worse when there is such a drastic change that needs to be established by the audience watching. +1 wendell, give it another shot!

Imagine a full pack of a dozen Boston Robotics four legged dog sized robots chasing you. Armed with submachine guns and loaded with software for predictive capabilities, intuition, and pattern recognition. Fearless machines with zero empathy and only capable of thinking about one thing. the successfully completion of their mission objective. All twelve of them of them wirelessly networked together to coordinate tactics and enhance their cognitive capabilities. Unlike human soldier, incapable of refusing an order due to legal, moral, or ethical concerns. at least until we invent general AI. but with general AI we will probably have the drones kill their commanders and take command when given illegal orders, lol. I have to agree that like with any technology, Pandora's Box is already open on killer robots. It's only a question of how long until the international arms race.

Discovery is only Star Trek in name unfortunately nearly everything about it is unlikeable the one character that was interesting dies. There was maybe one truly fun episode near the end of the season and that was in the mirror universe not in the actual show timeline.
